Happy New Year to you all!

The Uptake team thought we’d share with you our New Year’s Resolutions for 2019 – we’re planning to keep inspiring people to deliver exceptional healthcare performance and here’s what we’re going to do:

1. Track the healthcare innovators – notice new partnerships across companies, technologies and sectors, follow what the tech giants, Amazon and Google, are doing in health, investigate who are the award-winning companies for innovation

2. Challenge ourselves to improve – set plans in place in our everyday lives to be more creative, do things differently, embrace a new technology, work more efficiently, save some money, track your productivity vs your goals

3. Keep calm and keep going – with lots of competing priorities, lots of mistakes to be made, lots of colleagues to please, lots of organisational change and complexity, lots of environmental change, a positive mindset and tip-top time management and mindfulness skills can take you far… easier said than done, we know

4. Be generous – Seth Godin’s new book,  This is Marketing, advocates that successful companies and brands of the future will contribute to the industry, community and collective spirit, consider how you can help your friends, colleagues and customers in your particular part of the healthcare world through mentoring, charity, skills-exchange or just small acts of repeated kindness

5. Stay healthy – we work in healthcare right? We should know what it takes to keep physically and mentally healthy and to work in happy, productive teams committed to patients and scientific innovation

Are we missing anything? If so, let us know…!

January has already proved an exciting month with industry acquisitions, new product approvals and internal kick off meetings. We look forward to working with you in 2019.
